Architectural Review Committee (ARC)

The ARC reviews submitted requests to make changes to the exterior of your home (i.e. paint color), make an attached addition or free standing outbuilding, build a fence, add shutters or screen doors, lay a sidewalk or extend a driveway, or anything that alters the original appearance of the house. This approval ensures that you and your neighbors have followed the Covenants and Restrictions properly, and that the general appearance of the community is maintained.

The committee will respond in writing within 30 days of receipt of the application regarding the approval of any request put before it. Should you fail to wait for ARC approval and begin your project, the committee also has the legal right to halt or request the removal of any construction or alteration which was not properly approved by the ARC. If the application was denied, and the construction or alteration is not removed, the ARC, through the Association Board, may take legal action or other remedies as outlined in the recorded Covenants and Restrictions and the By-Laws.

The ARC is the sole arbiter of such plans and may withhold approval for any reason, including purely aesthetic considerations. Upon given approval, construction may be started and prosecuted to completion, promptly, and in strict conformity with such plans.

For questions about your proposed addition or alteration, or about completion of the application, please do not hesitate to contact the ARC chairman.
